Finding a picture of the kid(s) is usually a very simple task. But one of all of you? Are you always the person taking the photos, and not having your photo taken? Do you only have blurry photos of your feet (or butt) taken by the kids? Or are you, like me, self-conscious about the way you look?

I can promise that my photo shoots are easy and fun, and it’s an experience that you will never forget. We do your hair & makeup, provide assistance on what to wear based on your personal style, and you will end up with the most beautiful photos that you have ever seen of yourself.

My goal is to show you how beautiful you are; to help you reconnect with the woman you see in your portraits, and be awed by her again.

This is me in nutshell. And being the photographer in the family doesn’t help at all!

I distinctly remember being asked for a photograph of my family, and the only one that I had with everyone in it was from my maternity shoot. By this stage, my son was almost a year old. Yeah, so he was in the photo, but hiding in my tummy!

I want you to be able to pull out a favourite photograph of your family, or just you, at the drop of a hat. You deserve photographs to enjoy every single day.

pre-consult

To give you the best possible experience, we start with a complimentary consultation (usually on a video call).

We chat about what you want from the shoot and who is going to join you. The goal is to make you comfortable with what to expect, and leave you excited for your shoot.

2.

wardrobe and styling

During your consultation we also discuss what you are going to wear. I’ve found that 2-3 outfits is a good number to bring with you, which mixed with different backgounds, gives you a nice variety of photographs from your shoot. Not sure what will work best? Take me on a virtual tour of your wardrobe, and we can make this decision together!

your shoot

On the day of the shoot, you arrive at my studio, we chat a little more, and you get to see all of the gorgeous products in person. If you have an idea of what you would like to purchase later, please let me know so that I can give you the best possible options. My hair and makeup artist works her magic on you (usually this takes 60-90 minutes), and then we begin your shoot. The shoot itself lasts about 90 minutes, and then you’ll be on your way back home, looking and feeling fabulous.

If you have little kids, it may be a good idea for them to arrive 90 minutes after you do, so that you are all glammed up before their arrival.

posing

You’re not photogenic? I’ll argue with you until I’m blue in the face that there’s not such thing as being “photogenic”, there’s just knowing how to pose, and that’s MY job. I take special care to pose every single person to look their aboslute best. Tweaking each pose to make it “just right”. You just need to show up and we’ll work together to make you look your absolute best.

5.

reveal and ordering

Two weeks after your shoot, you are invited back to my studio for your reveal. This can also be done virtually, should it be required. I will show you your editied photographs, and you get to choose your favourites. There are packages available to give you the best value for money, as well as a la carte options, leaving you in complete control of what you spend.

FAQs

Do all shoots have to take place in your studio?

Not at all! I love capturing images in amazing locations in Cape Town. There are so many little nooks and crannies that make for wonderful shoot locations. I am a sucker for a beautiful sunrise or sunset, especially if I can create a dramatic portrait for your family. Additional travel costs may apply.

Is there a minimum purchase amount?

Most definitely not. You only purchase the images and products that you truly love. Clients tend to spend on average between R 6,000 and R 10,000, and payment plans are available. Should you wish to put down an advanced payment, and additional 10% value will be added to your credit.

What do we wear?

During your pre-consult, we chat about outfits, how to make them co-ordinate without being too “matchey-matchey”, and also about where you would like to display your final images. All of this influences what you decide to wear, and I guide you through the process one step at a time.

What does it cost?

Your luxury photoshoot experience costs R 3,950 including professional hair & makeup. At your reveal session, you only pay for the images that you absolutely love, with collections starting at R8,000 including both printed photographs and high resolution digital files. A la carte prints are available from R900 each, framed prints, and canvas prints start at R2,000 each. All printed images are delivered with the matching high resolution digital file.
